Blogging enhances the communication between classmates both in and outside of the classroom. People are able to see others comments on certain topics and are able to make suggestions. Also, when a student is not sure about the assignment for the class he can check some sort of main blog or a fellow classmates blog to get a better understanding.

Different technologies and layouts are used in writing like using pictures and writing anything from short blurbs to long paragraphs or papers.
It is an interactive form of writing because people can comment and then people can comment on the comments and so on.
It is a type of writing that is used as a form of expression, but unlike other expressive writing styles it allows other to comment on what is being expressed.
Blogging allows instant feedback from the audience.

Blogs encourage communication through the ability to comment and the freedom of speech. Since every blog is unique people can learn about the bloggers personality through their blog.
Blogs can be used for knowing the opinions of the general public like in the 2004 election and in communicating about current events through something besides news media.
